[He's like the Energizer Bunny! He's even the correct color. Of course, there's an immoveable object for every unstoppable force, but for the moment his isn't here, and there's no suitable substitute. Good luck.
He doesn't seem to mind that there's a remnant of doom and gloom in her expression, since it's probably nothing compared to the doom and gloom inside the mansion.]
I think it'll be good to stop having to wait around to see what's in store for us! Plus, I can't help but get fired up for a challenge.
It won't be bad to get some more answers, that's true. I don't think we'll really be able to understand the workings of this game until we see it in play.
It sounds pretty complicated, especially since I don't think most of us -- well, any of us now? -- have even seen something like this before. I'm going to try hard to learn the system, and I'm sure everyone else also will!
But you know, our Witches really aren't that good at explaining things, either.
[They try, maybe. But when Erika Furudo is more convincing exposition then y'all need to up the game here!!]
Mm... even if she wasn't very likable [ at all ] the fact that she seemed to know the most about this situation means that whoever killed her put us all at a disadvantage. I wonder if that was intentional.
[ Finally actually taking out that cigarette and lighting it now... ]
Erika, you mean? She was stubborn, and didn't look at her surroundings very well, and she's definitely very good at making enemies! [he's here to drag a dead girl, why not] But maybe that's what you need to be a Great Detective or something.
Either way... I wouldn't be surprised if Yuuko wanted her out of the way. She just said that someone had to make a wish, and kill someone. We don't know any of the proper details yet, like who picks the victim, and stuff.
[He crouches down and starts playing with some of the kalmia on hand, keeping out of the way of the smoke.]
Why play a Game this complicated if you're not playing to win no matter what?
I guess that's true. Yuuko said she'd be killing them through our wishes, or something like that, but I don't think she ever did specify who would choose the person who would die. And since we're supposed to be her opponent's pieces, putting us at a disadvantage in this way where we're less likely to find out the truth probably would be to her benefit.
[ She takes a drag and exhales slowly. ]
It's still strange that we haven't seen the witch who's supposed to be on our side in person. I wonder what relationship one really has to their pieces in the game.
Maybe it doesn't really matter who's going to be dying, or even who's going to be doing the killing. There are so many truths and Truths flying around at this point that I'm starting to think we could just pick any old one and it would work in this Game!
[Which is probably a dangerous way to think. But then again, he isn't a safe sort of person overall.]
Hmm, as for the bird Witch... it's really hard to decide on a name for her! [is that relevant] She's pretty slippery in her own way. She told me that we can make friends with her and the birds, since they're the same or something.

She'll be nice and give him a smile in return, though it's not nearly as bright. ]
Not really. You are?

We'll all just have to do our best.
